Cyberspace III

Mmm, MSA varnish.  Really brings out the interference and gives it an opalescent sheen!  The shine underneath the shine... this little critter is ready to go :)

Still needs a little MSA varnish to polish it off, but I thought I'd go ahead and show y'all the violet interference.  Fun stuff.

Sand, Gesso, Ground Color, Grid...

Huzzah.  Finally completed the composition!  Next step: violet interference! 

...I think I just broke every rule I learned in art school.  Eh, fuck it.

Next step: some kinda reddish violet shade...  Gosh, I feel like I'm making Tejano music or something.  Where did all of this chroma come from?  Maybe some suppressed sex drive - who knows. 

(Woulda had more of it completed, but the darn paint needs to cure first!)

Well, the painting itself is completed!  Now I just need to fly back up North and add primer and interference gloss... time to take to the skies.
